smoke wood and late night live jazz
lost in a tequila dream

gone astray
within an evening
of chance
walking man
carries
the shard's of his heart
dared to love
dared to believe
in
the empty american dream
midnight wind calling
empty sidewalk echoes
black street shadows
whisper
unheard
as he dances
holding her close and slow
rhythm timed
soft lips sipping
aching for more
her eyes emerald wisps
adrift
dancing
smoke wood and late night jazz
a young boy tastes
the long road
hello good-bye until
always leaving behind
just
a frozen tear and a drop of blood
