wood floors
soaked from years
of sweet whiskey
worn deep
souls seep
stains of love
of loss of truth
worn leather boots
with holes in the soles
sweet blues
guitar rhyme
in time playing
as you dance alone
what
do you see
between the vibrations
blood or water
table lamp
shadows small
calling
no tomorrow across
your stained fingers
alone
you watch
her one last dance
dark light whispers
cold lips and whiskey
Your poetry touches deeply the reader, I don't know about the other readers, I can only speak for myself, but this poem has the feel of one who has lived loved and drank the last drag of sweet whiskey, Love your poem, have a great day dear poet xo
