where do i find myself
still wandering
down those old highways
dreaming
of a time
no interstate drawing lines
connecting the dots
when my country was local
when my long hair was
vocal
chancing my street theatre
dancing
sunsets to lose myself in
of deserts
of mountains
of endless rivers
of two oceans
one green one blue
sunrises to wake me
of farms
of true small time sighs
of dancing free
those national
television channel lies
walking talking
woody guthrie blues
still walking
my old man season
my young man dreaming
Like watching an old movie. This land is still our land. Only we don't see it on the automated lanes of the superhighway or from the altitude of a convenient jet plane.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
Love ya!

Many thanks for this bit of honest nostalgia.
