Poem Artwork

This feeling will not let me go
I know you are close by
it's late at night, I'm all alone
and still I wonder why.

Your image just imaginary
I can not make you out
my senses' telling me no lies
I call your name out loud.

The echo's ringing in my ears
my own voice startles me
I haven't felt like this in years
there is no room for glee.

Sensation prickles on my skin
as when you brushed my brow
with whispery kisses sweet as sin
and I wonder where are you now?

Oh the many things we wonder about especially someone who we've let be so close. Blessings, Holly

A hint of fear, with much sadness and longing: powerfully penned, Rebecca, those lonely nights spent wondering!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

It is in the still of the night when we are alone that memories both good and bad have a tendency to slip back throught the cracks of time to pop up in our dreams. We can only remember and accept what has transpired and hope it was worth it in the long run. Great write here Jean...lovely.

She Intrigues Me, Revelations Of Love by Jon Willey

If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
