Now this is nice...how nice to feel the very essence of music from Bells...they surely have fond memories for you...it shows from within your poem...

Very nice poetical tribute to the bells of Christmas and other sacred events throughout the years . . . A lot of tradition has fallen by the wayside through neglect and apathy . . .
Everything is changing..and not all for the good!!
Pushing everything that matters aside to live in a NEW WORLD stinks to me!!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful sentiments...I can relate to the sadness of losing so much beauty over Christmas time..even on sundays and wedding days!!
Oh Becca - another poem that goes into the heart!!
I too miss Church Bells - in this modern time - they are not used - but missed - they transport you to a level of beauty -
As always, lovely -

Sometimes the sights and sounds of our sweetest childhood memories are wrapped up in such (at the time) common articles that they tend to transport us back in time. I was raised RC and I remmeber all the ceremonies even though I do not practise today. I still though love the sound of the choirs and they always transport me back as your beloved bells do you. Hope you are doing well Becca and in fine spirits...
