Alive- For the Andes Survivors

Forty years later. A poem dedicated to the crew and passengers of the Fairchild. Thanking them for the gift of what the human spirit is capable of in such dire circumstances. God bless them all and their families

In the mountain

Darkness was never to bleak.

Whiteness was never to blinding.

Boulders were never to steep.

Alas, through the crevices angel wings protruding.

Oh – The imense void of silence,

Taking our sandals off was never to holy.

In the darkness a newborn cries out,:

"I Am that I Am".

Alain, this is a fascinating poem. If I could only see the thoughts behind it and know the full story that caused you to write, and the deeper meanings of each line.
I will focus on the awesome holiness of the ending, "In the darkness a newborn cries out, I Am that I Am." Amen.
