Vote Of Thanks

It is with much pleasure that I stand before you today,

To give thanks for all the talents on display.

First to God for affording us the opportunity,

To get together once again in our little community.

Once more we say Thank you to children in our care,

Wishing you luck as we offer up a prayer

Your goals and aspirations will have no bounds,

As you move onwards to higher grounds.

Our Feature Speaker spoke with such inspiration,

Mrs. Asha Kambon, for you, we have only admiration.

Your address to the graduates about never giving up,

And your words of wisdom will forever fill their cup.

Thanks also to our Supervisor from the Ministry of Education,

For taking the time to address the children of our nation.

Your presence here today means a lot to them as they graduate,

And I am certain, to all that was said, they can relate.

To Mr. Barry Mannette, with your great pan rendition.

For this, you certainly deserve recognition.

Thank you for playing for us on this special morn,

I’m sure, to your talents, many will be drawn.

Let us not forget to thank the parents for their support,

Both in the academics and in sport.

Your dedication, you have surely displayed,

Thank you parents, for the efforts you have made.

To our R.I. Teachers, our gratitude we bestow,

For helping our children, spiritually to grow.

You visit our school every single week,

Helping them to find all that they may seek.

Mr. Harold Telesford, our esteemed Master of Ceremony,

With a sense of humor that is sweeter than honey.

Thank you, Harold, for all you have done,

Your support is comparable to none.

Finally to our dear Principal, Mrs. Kamlin Pierre,

Thank you for a most productive year.

Under your guidance these graduates have grown,

And many happy times at school, they have known.

Thank you all, for allowing me the time,

To say ‘Thank You’ in a rhyme.

May you all have a most enjoyable day.

God’s blessings to you as you go along your way.
