Some Rules were made to be broken, while just a few simple ones keep. In your heart, there is one remains unspoken And above all others this one is deep. Write a poem or write a song, But throw out the rules when love and inspiration come along, Cinquins, Villanelles, Sonnets or Haiku But the only necessary condition is that YOU be you.
If one wants to write, just write what the heart poemizes. When one calls a composition, SONNET, VILLANELLE, the reader expects to read what that name indicates.
A SONNET or VILLANELLE and any poetic form can only be written under their rules. If one doesn't want to follow the rules, why one calls the composition in a poetic form's LABEL? WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE MORONIST ACADEMY OF THE AMERICAN SENSELESS JESTERS, the author or the reader?

But the me in me is a chameleon, and keeps changing-- I try to catch hold, and then "me" dissapears and resurfaces somewhere else-- or is that my muse-- I get so confused... .. .
...and this is the signiture of your pen Michael...the music of your thoughts...long or short of it...are found in simple rules of love.
