Depression, the blues and hope..

I sit
behind panes
of blue
the color of my heart
when I am without
you
icy blues, gray daze
sitting here
trying to chase
the blues away
letting my heart
speak for me
behind the blue
pane
a glimpse of you
I see
melting, melting
ice encased heart,
bring back my love
we can make
a brand new start
blue, damn you!
I hate it when you
strum
the fibers of my being
every time you come
and take my joy away
well, it won't happen
today!
thank God I see
the light
of His love
tonight
shining through
the pane
revealing the sky above.

God truly sees the tribulations and the struggles of us all...and all the good works we perform in his name do not go unnoticed. The blues are only temporary impediments on the path to light. You have expressed this well in this wonderful write.

A most beautiful, endearing piece. God's love is neverending, always there when we need it most....

Be safe,
Karen

I loved, "strum the fibers of my being". I enjoyed reading this even more the second time.
Thanks and best regards,
Chris
