Morning

By Kathy Armijo

Morning, God,
It’s me, again.
Didn’t sleep as well last night
As I did the night before.

My head is fuzzy
And I’m tired.
Would rather sleep the day away.
No such luck.

Much to do.
Work.
Laundry.
Run some errands.
Things I’d rather just not do.

Help me get out of bed,
Get my husband fed
And out the door.
Boy, my back is sore.

Taking my shower, I realize
Today is Saturday.
Yahoo!

God, you’re too good to me.
Thank you!
I’ll still do the laundry
And run my errands,
But back to dreamland
For a while.

Our works is never done while we wrestle with our journey's in life. A nice reminder that we all must tread forward and not let life get us down. I truly enjoyed this.

Dreamland can be such a beautiful relaxing place to be. There will be lots of time to get all those things done later. Thanks for sharing.

Ahh isn't it wonderful when we forget things like that, or that we are on vacation and don't have to work...like finding a twenty in a jacket you haven' worn in a long time.

Kathy,

This is beautifully penned. Grateful for another morning wake up call, we stress out until we slow down and thank Him for allowing us another day. :) Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

A wonderfully touching write of how we all get so caught up in the daily grind that days begin to blend together. I have done just that in the past and driven all the way to work before I realized it was the weekend, drats......

Be safe,
Karen

This is funny. Reminds me how I once or twice confused 'Good night' and 'Good morning'! Are we coming or going? Cheers
