Adoration

What comes to mind when you hear the word – Adoration?
Is it “Darling, I adore you?”
            – A lover’s testament to one’s amour. 
Or is it simply, “What an adorable child?”
Perhaps, there’s great depth in this word
            – As in “My God, I adore You!”

Adoration means to worship Him
            – Whose love abounds,
                       Without limits and in spite of our sin.
Give praise to God above
Give it with your heart and soul, and feel His warmth
Upon your heart, as His love you extol.

Our youth are being taught [by example]
That the only thing worthwhile
Is that “he who dies with the most toys, wins.”
Such a tragedy.  Such a sin.
For surely, he who dies – dies.
But what will become of this person’s soul?

It is important to adore, respect, worship and love Him.
He gave us life.
He has a place waiting for those, whose life focused on His way,
And follow His word.

“Oh, my God, how I adore thee!
Guide and watch over me.
Help me to know and show Your goodness and love.”
