I’m a poet of no acclaim
No publications
Nevertheless, my writing functions
As an internal flame
You read what I write
My joys, my trials and my insights
I desire to provide you happiness
Hopefully, this will brighten your days and nights
To think when I began
My first poem was to a dear friend
Since then, I’ve written what is on my heart
And all of it God has sent through me
Your reviews make my heart sing
You and they have been a tremendous blessing
All that you share
Remind me that you are a family who truly does care
You have become a significant part of my life
That I will always cherish
I pray for you as I lay my head at night
Looking forward to your upcoming post
Author’s Den has given me a place to disclose
My heartaches, my most cherished memories, my love for God
And, yes, even my silliness
All of you out there, somewhere – you maestros
Are deserving of more than a heartfelt “thank you” and applause
But that’s all I can give; except for, maybe, a couple of “hurrahs”
Every one of you, please know that in my heart, “You’re the most!”

Sometimes people come into our lives in a funny and most peculiar way. Just imagine one quick click of the mouse and voila! you connect. You read what that poet wrote and know in your heart, that he/she is a special person. You look forward to the next time online, to read that person again and also the many others who have touched you so. Words are more than what they seem. They are a huge part of whom we are.
