Winter, Spring

© By Kathy Armijo

Winter, spring

How my heart does sing

The chirping of birds fills the air

My cats are running through the house … best beware

The trees are blossoming

The allergies are in full swing

Temperature is rising

Makes me feel like loafing

Soon, it will be summer

I can tell because the clothes are getting skimpier

As I sit and contemplate this breath of spring

Sheish … got %.*# cold, gotta’ pull out them winter things

Tomorrow is another day

Sure hope spring is finally here to stay!!!

Two weeks ago we packed away our winter things... I blame last week's winter weather on me... :(

It is finally warm here, but the trees are still brown as can be...

From the warmth beating in my heart, wear now my coat of friendship to stave off a lingering winter's tease and chill. It is always so good to see another wonderful poem from your poetic pen. May peace be always with you. Jon Michael Willey

Great write Kathy. Spring is finally here in the White Mountains too but a snowstorm in May up here is not all that uncommon. I pray to God it doesn't happen this year. Enjoy the weather and God bless.
