*Goooooals!* © By Kathy Armijo *Goooooals …* *Require perseverance, a commitment to crossing the finish line* *A desire to succeed in spite of the pitfalls* *You plan with care* *Making informed choices* *You proceed with caution and determination* *Your whole being is invested in achieving this goooooal* *Suddenly, life takes a turn* *Your gooooal is out of reach* *Sadly, it is a gooooal that is NOT to be realized* *The perception of others … failure* *Failure can be your choice, too* OR *You can give yourself credit for the strides you made … the hurdles you overcame* *You can recognize your strength of character* *Give yourself a ‘pat’ on the back for your achievements* *After all, you got off the starting block and* *Ran a good race* *Goooooals …* *The spark that is a testament* *To who you are!*

Kathy, goals are just what you said, a place to reach for, who ever set a time limit on it? Take as long as you need, do as much as you are humanly able, and eventually you will achieve. Sometimes we set too high of a goal, so we are human, revise the goal to a more reachable feat. Never feel a failure, because if you truly do the best you can possibly do, what more can anyone ask?

Indeed, Kathy, inspiration very well penned. We all have a choice...although I wonder, sometimes. Do I ask to be poor? Am I happy here? No. But then again, always have an excuse as to why I don't try something new...afraid of failing (AGAIN)? Perhaps: pray for me. Brilliantly written.
