I've walked many a mile in my sinful shoes
and treaded the treacherous waters of doubt
Felt alone with many people
Got everything but still felt without

Lived around darkness, mockery and lies
My soul surrounded by fear
When I thought I was losing my mind
God whispered, "I'm still here"

God walked with me
He swam those hard waters
He was with me at the lonely times
He shined a light and eased my worried mind

He brought my guilt to glory
And I gave Him a mountain of praise
For holding me and comforting me
In my sinful days

Appearing in a dream to show me
He was always there
To fill me with his Holy Spirit
From guilt to glory he took me there

He saved my wretched soul
From the hell that it was trapped in
Gave my heart love and grace
So I could begin again

Guilt to glory I could preach it every day
Love and mercy,take it God's children
He's giving it away

He's our Lord
Our friend forever
He doesn't want you to be
Full of the Spirit alone
He wants us to praise Him together
