Memories of the Storm

Many years later....

The fog has lifted….

     Colors are bright,

The taste for wine….

      is no more.

Memories of the storm…..

      They are sad,

The pain has diminished

      And the Shame,

It Lives in the Past.

Pictures of a lightening bolt

        Will always remain….

Just not in the Frame and

     Will Guide me no more.

The Storm subsides

        Life Lives on …

Hopes they Sustain

        Flowers are sweet and

 Colors are Bright.

A very nice recovery and so well expressed here. This one is tied to the other in a very good way; eventhough, they are near complete opposites, they identify well as a pair. A battle between good and evil is prevailed by good...nice...I feel good with this one.

Freedom from the angst of the shackles of ones own thoughts.
Life, love, freedom come from living beyond the inner prison. The bricks of which have come tumbling down... and reality is found...
