On to better days......

I have always missed the days we had.

 

 

We sit and look across the table
 and pretend that we care
 what the other has to say.
I ask how you feel, how you are,
This gives me enough time
to enjoy my meal in peace.
These eggs are wonderful
the coffee is especially good today.

I see you talk, though
your words haven't a voice,
My this muffin is a heavenly treat,
I nod my head,
as you inform me for the day.
When will you breathe?
As you finally  sip your coffee,
I quickly say, I will be late, I must go. 

I lean and kiss your cheek,
you have no idea, it is the last.
Self centered people seldom do.

This game is over, you win.
You are the director of your own play.

I have ideas to share,
things to do and people
to interact with.

Nicely done! - More power to you for identifying the futility and not attempting to change that which cannot be changed. Isn't it amazing how completely unaware our past intimates/potential intimates can be to the understanding/recognition of someone other than themselves? Best - Ms. BEEDS

When love reaches this point..move on. Captured very well the loss of someone we use to know.
