screaming I ran
down halls of horror
seeping and oozing
complexities of sorrows
crawling of scenery
entrenched in myopic
tripping hallucinations
soundtrack of noise
screeching like bats from
torn gates of hell
wailing in misery
entombed as the walls
running out of the house
running out of the city
splashing through sewage
and maggot pollution
the air burned of sulfur
and stench of decaying
oh child of god
and warm compassion
dreams of magic
and soft affection
where he holds the world
upon his palm
an earthbound angel
he understands
as I stretch into
the morning light
growling now and
leaping to him
changing the scenery
inside my mind
with his warm mouth
and outstretched arms
a pearlescent fire
and gracious smile
