A Mystical Dream

Poem Artwork

I dreamed a dream of my love,
in the land of "Lovers Cove".

We strolled along silver sand, -
a beach made of wonders by God's hand.

Water was always warm and crystal-clear;
I felt my beloved coming near.

Both naked, as Adam and Eve,
wandering in a land where none need to grieve.

Fruits of wondrous flavors for us to eat,
where there were no sins for us to repeat.

In this land, love was always the story of sweet mount,
shamelessly shared, with a sense of love's sweet fount.

Fine wine we drank, from thirst quenching streams,
where wondrous fruits gently flowed down each seam.

There we rode on elephants in rainbow colors,
wandering amongst forest filled with four-leaf clovers.

Glided by seagulls gleefully singing,
and sparrows flying, gracefully swinging.

I held my beloved hands,
the one who always understands.

I kissed my beloved's fingers gently with my soft lips,
while singing angelic love songs without any scripts.

In that dream, we were both angels of true love,
living in a land of splendor, sent from above.

A land where all find happiness in a lover's coupling embrace,
and where hearts of true lovers will never be misplaced.

It was once natural to be naked and we had nothing to hide. Your poem brings out the best in what love should be. Amen

I'm packing my bags. I want to visit this island. I love the image of silver sand. I might be tempted to steal the phrase for my book. Don't they say that mimicry is the best form of praise?

Your dream reminds me of the idyllic phrases in John Lennon's Imagine. Oh, what a wonderful world it would be. If all of us were lovers in your poem instead of what we tend to become in the harsh world of our own making.

A lovely vivid dream indeed, with well-scripted couplets and fitting rhymes. Fine work, Sandie.

Hi Regis:

It's a dreamer's dream. The woman in the hammock has dreamed this.

Seems like Eden to me, Sandie; a lovely place to be with one's beloved. Nicely done. Love and best wishes,

Regis
