Some of you may have read this poem before, but have not heard my recital yet to this poem. It's one of the old ones that I had written some years ago, and now it is also in audio format.
Walking along this beach
Alone
With my broken heart in my pocket
I realize it is getting dark now
I cannot see much of anything
But I know
I must set sail…release my broken heart'
I reach into my left pocket
for my paper boat of dreams
and my right pocket
for my broken heart
I put my broken heart
into the paper boat of dreams, and
let it sail...
let it drift...
let it sink...
I hold my hands up to my chest... waiting...
for that feeling of my new heart
It's thumping!
It's pounding!
It is the most beautiful sound
I've ever heard…
and the most wonderful feeling
I've ever felt…
WONDERFUL! YOU'VE CAPTURED THE BEAUTY IN THE GIFT OF RELEASE AND STARTING AGAIN...NEW. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
Ah, your sensitivity beauty and tenderness undoes me today dear Sandie. Your creativity shines in every word. I too always felt that the ocean has a way of healing many a thing, including a broken heart. Keep skirting the shores of love, sooner or later you will find the treasure you are looking for. Love and hugs,
Regis
Love ya!
