The following is a poem I had written some years ago. It was in response to a very special painting which my friend, Yvonne Joyette, had painted and gifted to me. The vision for the painting had come to her in a dream, and when she woke up the following morning she thought of putting the vision into a painting. She began painting immediately the following day just so she would remember how the vision had appeared in her dream. She told me while she was painting, I was the one that came into her mind, she named this painting "Angel Falls". When she presented this painting to me, all I could ever think about was writing the following poem. I have named this poem "Angel Falls" as well, in respect of my friend. I view this as God's miracles. - Yvonne's vision and my poem. I hope you'll like what I have written for this special painting:

Poem Artwork

Within the vastness of the
heavenly blue sky
I float freely...through clouds.

Gently the raindrops fall
and place me within brooks
where I float freel...into streams.

Why am I in high places?

I plunge into the abyss,
but He, the Creator, cradles me while I fall,
He emerges me from the darkness.

I thank the Creator for His kindness in
cleansing and purifying me!
I am pure again!
I am whole again!
I am...as serene...
…and as beautiful...
as a peaceful stream!

I am welcomed by
the greens of life,
and the blueness of
a true friendship that has yet
to be explored, where...

A Brave New World Awaits!

Some of the things in this world cannot be explained. Like your friend's Yvonne's dream, and why she would be thinking about you while she was painting her vision, and the way you write up this poem to describe her vision is truly God's miracles on both you and your friend Yvonne. Your poem aptly described this painting with an uplifting message to all.

Although I believe not in the "Creator," I do, however, believe in "…and as beautiful... as a peaceful stream!" We may argue how things were that we got that way, but I'll never argue about "A Brave New World Awaits!" I enjoyed this precious poem

A wonderful poem and painting to go with it. The real Angel Falls, the tallest in the world, is in Venezuela and may have been the inspiration for your friend's dream and painting…

I am friends with one who died and experience what Heaven was like. It's real. So real that this life seems unbelievable. Your poem gives us a glimpse into that other dimension. God bless you, Sandie.
