Why can’t my life in Jesus, Keep me from all pain? Why do the angry skies, Cloud up with stormy rain? How come I can’t afford, To have the very best. Why do I work so hard, And have so little rest? I’ve paid my dues in life, And want to get my share. My neighbors live so well, It seems it isn’t fair. But Jesus never promised, A life of earthly ease. He heals our broken spirits, With grace that no one sees. We need to seek the treasure, That leads to life above. We need to do for others, And share His peace and love.
