To abuse I once laid blame,
For all my troubles
And all my shame.

I now find I must forgive.
For to harbor hate
Is not to live.

Your abuse was once my crutch.
And feeling crippled
I lived as such.

Finding I have built a wall
To let the blame lay
Where it would fall.

Now I must remove each stone
To tear down the wall
For I have grown.

I no longer can blame you
For all of the things
You put me through.

It is blame that kept me bound
Away from the love
I could have found.
