The highest wind speed ever measured in a tornado, and also the highest wind speed ever recorded on the planet, is 301 ą 20 mph (484 ą 32 km/h); recorded in the Moore, Oklahoma F5 tornado of May 3, 1999.

Nice write, very expressive and yes it was very devestating. We saw the destructiive power and its aftermath. It was so devestating that there are no words to describe the scene....
