As life goes on and time passes by

Remembering our life, I start to cry

I close my eyes and picture your face

Reality robs each images trace

I miss you each day of every year

Wishing somehow that you were still here

Distant stars shine and brighten the night

With sparkle and gleam and a brilliance of light

Desiring your touch, my heart breaks with pain

But crying and hurting I know are in vain

Comfort comes from the heavens above

With unsurpassed wisdom and almighty love

I kindly remember days gone before

Some that I cherish, some I ignore

You're gone from life but not from my heart

For it's only death that keeps us apart
