(The Above Picture is an entry archway to an outdoor prayer sanctuary)

 There is a place in my town called the Monastery, Monks live here.

The Monks live in the frontal building.

On their grounds there are Prayer Sanctuaries.

These sanctuaries are outdoors, and are hand lain with stones.

They are very old. There are numerous ones on the grounds.

 I drove into their driveway by mistake back in 1997.

But then again that only seemed like a mistake, I was meant to turn in there!

I was backing out, and looked around and seen all sorts of unusual huts,

 and stones, and Holy Templates. Here are a few pics I took this past winter.

The pics didn’t turn out as well as I wanted-but gives you an idea of what I visit.

 So since my “mistake” back in 1997, I have been visiting The Monastery,

 and I always seem to discover new things the further I walk into the back woods.

Back in 2000 I seen a Monk, he came out a back doorway

and he did a prayer gesture to me, and a nod of his head,

and of course I felt very blessed by his gesture.

 (I have not seen them since) Anyway here are some pics:

 where you can light a candle of Hope, Faith, Peace

& of course whatever your prayer may be.

I'll go back with lots of candles next time, and take a pic.

I had my prayer candle but my matches got ruined when this

huge pile of snow fell on top of me from the pine trees

where I had entered the archway of a different sanctuary.

A Jesus statue greets you at the entryway

(next time I go I will remove that sign;

looks so cheesy & no I did not place it there)

This is Jesus in his resting place after removed from the cross;

 the statue is life size, they have him depicted as tall, and with long legs

 & about a size 13 shoe :)

Maybe just a coincidence though....as I do believe that Jews are shorter in stature,

the Jewish people I know are anyway…

(above photo) This is the vine of life, it is very old, and very tall.

This tree/vine is taller than a house.

 It is located in the front of the area where the center prayer circle is.

The prayer circle has stone carved Biblical Prayer scriptures of the Holy Words.

 you will see the vine grows up very tall

 embracing the stone fortress walls…
