I got to thinking that even thoughts are considered a sin by some religions. So with that I wondered how watching TV goes? There are so many sexually exploiting commercials of sensual erotic persuasians. Make up is vanity... We are vain creatures... Well the list goes on & on revealing us all to be sinners in truths... Man decides a severity of sin with a law... But really we are not allowed to do this (as in religions-not constitutions)...we just do it... Some think certain sins are more severe, or more acceptable. Like a murder is worse than a lie, or stealing. These are mans permisive acceptabilities of a judgment... I do it too...& I love make-up & those frilly vanity items too... I had a pictorial adventure at the Catholic Church. Behind the church is the cemetary. (as I love to visit old cemetaries) This one has some marvelous statues & headstones; my favorite is the life size angel there. There is also a section in the back which is for the babies. It is very unique as it is mostly scrap boards nailed together to form a little cross.
Stationary Statues Cloaked shrouds veiling hidden disparity... "Coveting
virtuous paths"

I think these words say much about our life journeys. I think the point of us being here is to slowly (and painfully) improve ourselves. It's hard work, but nothing comes easy. They say, in the end, we will understand how we've offended God all along. Maybe they are things we knew and excused, or maybe they're things we never dreamed would offend. I feel like this write goes deep, Vickie. Great work. Hugs,

Poetic essay lambent in its underlying theological message, moving lightly, gleaming with a soft, clear light...Stationary Statues is an observational probe into truths of religion...what it is, and what it isn't...the Buddhist prayer wheels, each turn of the wheel the same as saying the prayer once...regeneration of spiritual rebirth in "Damnation's Seclusion"...
