Through Your Crucifixions
I have released myself
From the molded chain
That bound me to barbed leather
The scriptures scarred in vain
I asked for the holy water
The wine and precious veil
Unaware of your misconception
A pastor’s silent avail
Sing not of those hymnals
That an aged page does pledge
But sing from a sacred glory
Inside the grove of Mother’s hedge
Within these vintage victors
And the songstress of the wind
I release myself from burdens
And all that you considered sin
I am no longer an unwanted soul
Or a lost seeker of what used to be
Departing from sacrilegious bondage
Through your crucifixions I am set free…
