Just reminiscing a bit!

Poem Artwork

Wishes made on shooting stars

When I was still a child.

Summer walks on well worn

Paths where blueberries grew wild.

Rows of white washed houses lined

The streets, then paved with sand.

Early mornings at the

Lake, fishing pole in hand.

Swimming in the afternoons till

The sun began to fade, then we’d

Talk about the following day

And all the plans we made.

Memories of my childhood

Put a smile upon my face

For now and then I visit –

Lingering in this special place

Our home towns will always be special, especially when we move away - the grass is greener; the air is sweeter; you felt at peace. I know I did - how I miss it. Well done!
