Sometimes sorry is not enough

How can I say I am sorry When it falls on deaf ears? To think I hurt another Whose friendship I treasure so much Cuts to me to the quick Sometimes I am so caught up In this life that is before me That I am lost in my thoughts Unaware that others may value What I have to say I feel so unworthy So inadequate to utter a word To one who is so much more Than I ever hope to be So even though it is not enough Sorry is all I can say I can only hope That it takes the hurt away

Sweet and often times "Sorry" is just not enough but your poem is so soothing that Hurt has no option but to go away! Thanks for sharing :)
