It was beautiful today on the beach.
The ocean was rough, and the scent heavy
bringing summer to my senses.
I breathe in deep the salty air.
The sky ablaze with auburn light,
the clouds covering the edge
ever so slightly, bringing forth
shoots of sun-rays all around it.
So I walked up onto the sand hill
and faced the sun, then stretched
my arms up to the sky. I faced
my palms up in the air.
I thanked my God for this thing called life,
and asked if "I could be his wife?"
I then sat down upon the sand,
and held my head within my hands.
