Don't ask me what triggered this...but it seems it has been lurking around for a bit waiting to get out.
Have a super day..

Filaments of human dandruff drift aimlessly to ground,
While filters of fabric, glitter without making a sound,
And watchful landlords grasp a minute before the hound,
Bringing gluttony to self-indulgence, hidden, until found.
Wayward animals succumb to tragedy, death to them all,
Frailties, fractured into catechistic wonder before the fall,
Clamouring desperately, walking stooped instead of tall,
Inheritance stunted blasphemy, sirens not heeding a call.
Monochromatic nightmares, a world so long gone astray,
As restless souls beckon, the brightening of a new day,
And soldiers stand with weapons long rusted with decay,
Before, a beautiful new sunshine brightens up this way.
Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.
In a post-coup America, an Illinois farm boy is drawn into the resistance by his brother's death. Captured, he is given a choice: betray his friends, or the girl he loves will be lobotomized.
