I am teaching my son to play soccer
in a strange land
I diligently teach my son soccer
in the land of baseball
I bring up my son in soccer
the way we used to over there.
Me and my son
kick back and forth to each other in Hebrew
I’m cautious and weary
he’s tough and quick on his feet.
Kicking soccer ball
back and forth
as we remember Zion.
