It sparkles in the morning sunlight
At the dawn of spring
It tends to wane by midday
Nearly snuffed out by e’en.
But moonlight brings it on again
Lending an ethereal glow.
Summer’s fire is hot
It’s glow unending
Violent are its storms
Often devastating.
Moonlight casts its spell
And cools the fevered brow.
At the approach of Autumn
It has deepened to Amber
And tends to hold steady
From dawn till setting sun.
Moonlight lends it strength
Ever mindful that all things end.
Beneath the snows of winter
And hard encrusted earth
Lives on the root and bulb
Though in aspect, lifeless.
Moonlight deepens shadows
And chills the inner core.
In conclusion,
All things told;
Love is constant
Unending; always changing.
Endures seasons
And renews itself.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
All things told;
Love is constant
Unending; always changing.
Endures seasons
And renews itself.
I love this concept, Betty. Thank you. Love and best wishes,
Regis
