There is an old Negro gospel song with a lyric that reads, “Feed me Lord til I want no more.” It calls me to ponder if I’ve missed the feeding or if not missed acknowledge that I shall always want more. Wanting more is clinging to the hope that love will prevail over hatreds real and imagined.
Wanting more is hoping that the covetous nature which is driving the powerful will be reversed and allow mankind to reach its’ full potential. Wanting more is sharing the belief that love can conquer evil and all children are allowed to grow in a child safe environment unscarred by the bombs and bullets of elders who are stealing their tomorrows.
Wanting more is to cease screaming at walls of madness created by those too afraid to celebrate life. “Feed me Lord til I want no more.” My hunger is larger than life, longer that death and will last an eternity. Because I want love to rule just once in my lifetime no matter how brief.
Oh Sweetie, this has me in tears, so beautiful are you, your spirit and I thank God that you were born. You make me smile when I am down, feed me when I am hungry and I say preach-on Sister! :)
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).

I enjoyed the reading of "Segmented Realities NO.3". Very impressed closing lines:
"Because I want love to rule just
once in my lifetime no matter how brief."
