Why do some eye doctors take hostages?
It’s not enough to fight illness and infirmities
Now one must fight the new world order’s most recent terrors, eye doctors.
Doctors whose minions give all patients the same appointment
and they sit together silently sharing their ills.

Coughing, sneezing, and filled with anxiety, they stare at one another.
Why or why if they are not surgeons must they hold us hostage?
Powerful beings these doctors who claim the mantle of healers but yet torture us with uncomfortable appointments..

Why indeed must the treatment cause more anxiety than the illness?
We have no answer save that doctors must be lonely and lacking the time to party decide to have a daily party using patients as party favors.

Playing with them as they sit and wait, and wait and sit and wonder
If they will catch colds from the ones sneezing.
Oh well it is only 9:45am and there are only ten of us with the same appointment.

Hostages, medical hostages.
Somewhere in the world people are dying for want of doctors and we sit fat and grumpy forgetting to count our blessing of the day.
