When a man tells a woman there’s no thunder in the skies. That girl had better watch out for a wolf in disguise. When he tells her that she’s lovely when her eyes are all crossed. She better watch her bank book and chummy up with the boss. When he tells her about Paris, Italy, and Rome. That’s a sure sign she’d better keep herself at home.
When he talks about luxury, jewelry and furs. She better buy a padlock to keep what’s hers hers. When he tells her about money and all of his plans. She’d better confine him to just holding hands. When he tells her about mugging and streets filled with crime. She’d better get her coat cause its’ only a matter of time.
When he tells her about duty and the beauty of home. There’s nothing that can help her the poor girl is gone. When he takes her to dinner and compares her to his mother. She’d better keep an eye on her sister or her brother. When everything is said and what’s done is done. She’d better make damn sure that she’s caught the right one.
I dare say that alot of girls are deceptive themselves. It is not limited to men alone. Then, of course, some girls do like a little lie to spice up their idiosy. Good write, though.
