Fairy princesses muse on Mondays filled with boredom Forgetting their pre-disposition of the previous weekend And you gallant smile and kiss away their feigned amnesia.
Seas swirl within as breathlessness refuses to smother smoldering flames. The nectar of your lips once again entraps them in rapture produced by your love thirst Unquenchable exchanges proclaim in their momentum That we are one…….most times Singing softly we caress our oneness with the universe
And marveling at the symphony of life The part played by our instrument whistles. Forests of self help echo to the uninfluenced Why do you stumble when you can see. Granting magic wishes is an illusion that children see And the child within us all shrieks with glee as we watch, the transformations become real Through love.

The second and third verses are especially Poignant.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
Good work, Mikii.
