I’m tired of old men who make war and leave the young men and women to do the dying under the banner of spreading democracy. I’m tired of the blind who cannot see the direct relationship between violence in the streets of urban centers and the messages from the powerful which have nothing to do with poverty, unemployment or declining educational opportunity. I’m tired of this mirror reflection of democracy which has become in reality democracide as the mantra has changed for bootstrap pullers who are the walking barefoot upon today’s landmines.
Landmines which are loaded with hypocrisy of promise of a better tomorrow if you agree to today’s enslavement in minimum wage workplaces without health benefits, and prisons where consumer goods are produced at costs now lower than the former outsourced labor of the corporatcracy.
I’m tired of religious leaders invoking the name of God as they redefine heaven when in reality it only has to do with their own self made monuments. God is only all when God serves their interest, their dreams, and their power over blinded masses. I’m tired of the dreams of youths being deferred by nihilistic societies who declare the worth and value of future generations as they eat them alive today.
I’m tired of new diseases caused by man’s inability to live in harmony with nature and each other as our planet is destroyed by powers whose only interests are today’s greed and who cannot see their own expendability or in seeing choose delayed suicide. I’m tired of all of this shit but I refuse to surrender Today, tomorrow, or ever to it. I’m just tired.
A deeply moving poem. If only today's politicians would pay attention to these stirring calls. Thanks my dear friend Mikii and pass my greetings to baba
It is the blind, leading the blind, staying in step with the "vision" impaired.

P O W E R in these lines, many are tired of it, as well. Thought provoking, moving verse; well done!
