Is vision really the beginning of transformation.

c.2002 M. Bennett Hooper aka Mariondhooper

Standing in the shadows of discontent I comfort myself with the knowledge of contained control.
Anger engulfs me as I fight for reasons for non-congenital insanity.
The insanity of choice by those who prefer warfare to carefare as they dance naked upon the world stage.

Deluded by parodies of peace, men of war arm themselves against adversaries real and imagined amidst songs of holiness.
Each side harboring a liturgy inclusive of God's blessings while in the background, PEACE BE STILL plays a crescendo chorus and flag waving becomes symbolic of the next,
E Pluribus Unum.

Oh say can you see.
Yes I can even when feigning blindness as educational institutions decline to educate parentless wonders who sit at the feet of modern day Socrates and refuse to drink the poison that wisdom has become.
Anarchy takes a new form in sullen students who prize unlearning as a way in which to protest against a future with which they do not identify beyond a mantra of getting paid.

And as mirthless songs are composed for those without life rhythms
you and I practice shadow dancing in a ballroom bereft of music.
Save silence.
OH SAY CAN YOU SEE?
