When the madness stops I shall trust you and you will trust me
And the world will be a safer place in which to live.
But will it happen in my lifetime?
Will my children and grandchildren survive today’s current madness
Or will they become fodder in the fields of today’s wars?
Do men who make wars ever stop to think that killing is a no win situation?
Killing for peace is madness.
Killing for material gain is madness.
Killing is fruitless and unjustifiable no matter the faith Christian, Muslim, Jew or atheist.
There are no Holy Wars any longer unless you fight disease, hunger, hatred, and ignorance worldwide.
Now pass the remote.
Reality TV is a misnomer until you show babies, Women, men, and children flattened by tanks,
Disemboweled by land mines, and decapitated by shotgun blasts.
But then that is horrible
Because it might make the madness stop.
And those who profit most by war could be made to till the fields of the world without the added convenience of modern agricultural machines.
Let them pull plows.
Let them be naked.
Let them be hungry and filled with disease.
Maybe then the madness will stop.

because we have leaders who want to further their father's agenda and continue this charade
because we profess to be a Christian nation who will help anybody, and then attack innocent civilians--including women and children
because we don't practice what we preach
