c.2003 M. Bennett Hooper

He looks good and dresses fresh but he’s a nasty boy who plays with nasty toys which kill people.
She’s really fine and heads turn when she enters the room smiling believing her press but she is a dangerous trophy woman.
Rich arrogant and controlling momentarily everything and everyone around her except herself and six former lovers.

He plies her with materials of her fancy and she believes her fantasies are real as she poses again and again in Kodak moments disquised as life and her child who lives with granny doesn’t recognize her as mommy.
Her Lexus is parked in the driveway at her cousin’s house as she hails a taxi for home where the repo man awaits her return.

She was too caught up in the gift receiving moment to notice when he handed her the box containing the car keys that the payment book lay at the bottom of the box.
She nevr considered working on a regular basis because it would interfere with her relationship and status as a kept woman.
She lived large in a lovely house lavishly furnished with only ice, expensive wines and salad greens in the refrigerator.

And he with chest bursting with pride gloated over his conquest of a pretty and expensive woman whom he would never marry because his wife didn’t believe in divorce.
And he didn’t believe in second marriages.

And she, she smiled a lot anyway through frozen lips which betrayed her unhappiness and caressed his Armani suit which hang in her closet , loose, unwrapped and empty.
Wondering as he left who indeed would have the honor of paying for her car.
