A Thousand Shattered Mirrors

You cannot possibly realize
the exact nature of my heart
as if trying to take its shape,
you know me any better.

The exact nature of my heart
I keep for bloody keeps, so if
you know me any better
what a stinking lie this would be!

I keep for bloody keeps, so if
inside the dome of decomposed,
what a stinking lie this would be,
what make you, this fractured mess?

Inside the dome of decomposed
lies a dark and dangerous space;
what make you, this fractured mess
of a thousand shattered mirrors?

Lies, a dark and dangerous space,
translations lost upon the translation
of a thousand shattered mirrors,
and yet you bravely venture in.

In translations, lost upon translation,
if trying to take the shape
of a thousand shattered mirrors,
you know me any better...

then, be still, (and certain) I am reading your poetry!

"what make you, this fractured mess
of a thousand shattered mirrors?"

yeah. I'm still relating to your poetry TOO well... not accusing either of us of plagarism, but wow, I think I have a very similar line somewhere :)

Anne, I think I walked barefoot in this poem and cut my feet into a million pieces. You write poetry with great skill, and I enjoy reading you. Bill

Very wonderfully done! I feel my bare feet being cut by a thousand shattered mirrors in the imagery you have beautifully created. -- Jeff

Anne, quite a responce, melanconic, but with lines like, the first stanza, captured my attention at one, and felt the danger.

Really well written....

Really enjoyed this one Anne. One of your best [but for me, the Jello poem is still the best].

P.S Thanks for your professional comments to my own work.
