Autumn Is Here, Defining The Spring In My Heart

Early morning, I felt humidity and heat lacking,
head and unruly mane straightening out.
Upon pillow's flowered slip, curls released,
everything I am, went soft, smoothed out.
Afternoon’s inner chambers wore seasonal light,
a last hurrah, before summer’s departure.
Gooseflesh rose, inviting my bare shoulders out,
one last sunset, sleeves optional.
Backyard-free, I flopped between two lawn chairs,
rear in one, feet up in another.
Winds kicked, ran free, rushing my locks, root to end,
decorating with ladybugs and bits of leaf.
Fall rode in, high tide, swelling, riding the marsh grass,
waves speaking, peaking, peeking over treetops.
Eyes closed, what peace, clouds flinging mist,
a pseudo-ocean salt spray, wetting my cheeks.
Full gale force, the seasons changed, extremes a given,
always a challenge, but you are home to stay.

I felt I was there. I agree with Dan you capture nature perfectly and its symbiotic effect on our bodies, soul, and spirit. Definetely fall is here and it was defining you.
Cheers
Alain
