Arrival Time


A Denny's
on the corner
of something
and some-such
          on time ...
I find it
without trouble
except everything
breeds trouble
          of late ...
social things
especially
since I am not
especially me
          right now ...
putting on a face
directed to a place
not sure why
I've come
          so undone ...
going where
I don't care
to know or
be found out
          and yet ...
I keep arriving
thinking questions
will become
the answers I need.

What's really bad is waking to find myself somewhere I don't remember going!
