Finally Dancing

Failure to thrive,
chronically wasted,
love and bones,
long bone, short bone,
set to "clacking."

Death's laughter,
a musical chime,
finally dancing,
bones like bamboo,
set to "clacking."

Hollow bone
beats against bone,
dust to dust to powder,
velvety, soft gray dirt,
"clacking" quiets.
