How to Take a Meteor Shower

towel optional

First, flatten your back to the Earth,
staring ever upward, still and constant.
All peripheral view will soon disappear.
Eyes falling forth, upon the night sky,
the heart pitches forward by free will.
The body falls away and the mind dives,
landing face-first across a black sea
where every meteor is a speeding boat.

Spare and precise, evoking the images needed to give the reader the illusion of involvement. Nicely done.

To and fro! Fantastic description of a meteor shower. Love the visuals, the imagery, and best of all what I felt inside.
Outstanding

(((o, anne)))

*clapping hands in sheer delight*

you've captured one of my favorite hobbies, searching the night sky for meteors and bolides

only thing, can't lie on the ground here in north texas, the fireants never rest...even at night

i lean against a building and watch the sky (and go *ow* when my neck gets stiff LOL*)

enjoyed, enjoyed, enjoyed this beauty of a write! a keeper to my library!!!

(((HUGS))) and love,

karla. :) *BIG grins*
