cobweb sweep


i like talk after dark,
the best, the moon
our only light, filtered
through blinds, casting
silver across our bodies.


your eyes blind to mine,
the syrup leaks free,
uncoating your throat,
affording you the ability
to really come clean.


the moon, your truths
both a welcome wash,
clear the haze-cling
that congeals my soul
freeing me for sleep.
