A Tree Falling in a Cat Forest

She puked up noise into the room,
"Oh no! Why? Oh, no! Why? Why!?"
all beyond coherence, no true words.

Tears failed release over gut tones,
as she flung his name out there too,
one sharp syllable, able to cut glass.

Holding herself to herself, lying fetal,
she tried remembering his last words,
"Be good with this; I'll be back soon."

The ruckus ceased, tears finally flowing,
shellacing her face in firmest of resolve
to quit making noise, stop scaring the cats.

-----That age-old question, if a weeping willow falls in a carpeted forest, unwitnessed. Did the weeping willow really fall if no one could hear it?

Wow, Anne...the woman is scared, jittery, slumped, or thrown, into a hole. The cat reference adds a touch of personal fortitude, a coming back to coherence, life, and time, going on. You boggle and delight my mind with these wicked writes of pain and ache...
