The Catskills truly are magnificent.
Like bits of rolling color
put together in the stunning shape
of subtle curving rounded hills
which are definitely an awesome
sight for any simple eye to behold.
But, for the average simple minded
person to fully and most honestly
understand completely and entirely respect
these natural gifts God has most graciously
bestowed upon the fortunate souls,
who by His grace have been placed
in so sweet a place as this one,
one must witness this splendid beauty
upon the first light and falling glow
of the solemn beginning of the night.
The various hues and splashes of color
which these many rounded cascading tops
produce is all but a breathtaking sight.
Purple and chartreuse, green and brown,
black and gold and all that lies between them
are so much the more on display.
Yes, the Catskills truly are magnificent
semblances of stunning raw beauty
carrying on through ageless mounds of decades
simply and solemnly spilled with speech
of wondrous beauty galore and so much more.
